Be pregnant.
No, seriously, bear with me here. Yes, it's crazy packing (and packing) on the pounds and watching your body change...but never have I been told I'm beautiful more in my life. People love celebrating pregnancy. Strangers see my big belly and flash a smile. The beauty of a developing life is like no other. I feel so special to be carrying an amazing, developing miracle - a tiny little life that I am learning about through his turns, kicks, pokes and hiccups. In (give or take) 4 weeks my son will be here. I will cherish these last weeks of my first pregnancy. Nothing is like it.
My pregnancy trends:
frozen fruit!! cold, icey things : cold applesauce, icey mandarin oranges, frozen cherries, frozen peaches, juice with crushed ice, cold sliced oranges...
difficulty sleeping and now sleeping upright in a cozy chair - much better sleep. Me and baby are a lot more comfortable.
the glow - I'm happy to say I've been told numerous times that I have the "glow" and I love it.
lotion on my belly everyday.
swim class - every Thursday the joy of being buoyant and weightless in water.
nesting - cleaning, sorting, organizing, washing, folding, stacking, hanging, designing...
my special necklace - my great grandmother's necklace from Italy. My mom wore it during her pregnancies and I haven't taken it off yet. It's a little charm of a baby...
